Sister-Brother Duo Shines at the First World Open Taekwondo Championship

New Delhi [India], August 24: The first World Open Taekwondo Championship-2026, held in Telangana, witnessed an outstanding performance by siblings Maloth Saanvi Riah and Maloth Aarush Mithul, who together won four medals. The international championship was held at Gachibowli Stadium from August 21 to 23, where the siblings represented India and showcased their exceptional talent.

Athletes from 22 states across India and 12 countries participated in the prestigious event. Saanvi Riah, a Class 9 student, won a Gold Medal in the Under-14 Kyorugi category and a Bronze Medal in the Poomsae category.

Her younger brother, Aarush Mithul, a Class 3 student, secured a Gold Medal in the Under-8 Kyorugi category and a Silver Medal in the Speed Punching category.

The prestigious championship was jointly organized by Amikal Sports Academy, Amikal Sports Federation, and JR International Taekwondo Academy, under the leadership of Raju Rathod, Manager and Director of the Telangana Technical and Management Division.

Parents, teachers, coaches, and family members congratulated Saanvi Riah and Aarush Mithul for winning four medals at such a young age on an international platform.

Their remarkable achievement has brought pride not only to Telangana but also to Delhi World Public School, Kompally.
